Traveling Competitive Teams
Traveling teams will compete throughout Oregon, and they will travel to 2-3 out-of-state competitions. All of these teams will practice once a week during the summer and twice a week. Teams for students 7-18+ years of age will be offered. Click here for the Team Handbook. Placements for this team will be early May. If you miss placements, you can contact the gym at 541-905-5050 or info@oregonelitecheer.com for a personal placement. Oregon Elite plans to offer the following traveling teams (actual teams depend on number of people placed each season).
7-11 Year Olds – Youth 2/3 Team
Requirements: Back handsprings and/or round-off back handsprings are required, but series back handsprings and running tumbling with tucks are preferred. Others will be considered if a position on the team is open.
9-14 Year Olds - Junior 3/4 Team
Requirements: Back handsprings and/or round-off back handsprings are required, but series back handsprings and running tumbling with tucks are preferred. Others will be considered if a position on the team is open.
11-18 Year Olds - Senior 4/5 Team
Requirements: Series back handsprings and/or running tumbling with tucks are required, but standing tucks and running tumbling with layouts or more are preferred. Others will be considered if a position on the team is open.
17 Years and Older - Senior 6 Team
Requirements: Series back handsprings and/or running tumbling with tucks are required, but standing tucks and running tumbling with layouts or more are preferred. Others will be considered if a position on the team is open.
Non-Traveling Competitive Teams
These teams will only compete in Oregon. All of these teams will practice once a week. Teams for students 5-18 years of age will be offered. Click here for the Team Handbook. 14 Year and Younger - Junior 1 Team
No previous experience required although additional tumbling classes are highly recommended.
12-18 Year Olds - Senior 2 Team
No previous experience required although additional tumbling classes are highly recommended.
